Education

Oral Surgeon Sulaiman Alshaar received his DMD degree at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry, then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital. He completed
his surgical residency at Temple University Hospital, Cooper University Health System, and St. Christopher’s Pediatric Hospital.

Expertise

Dr. Alshaar is certified by the American Board of Dental Examiners and the National Dental Board. He trained at two Level I trauma centers in full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. His rotations included training in general anesthesia, trauma surgery, internal medicine, and otolaryngology. He holds hospital privileges at Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital.

In the Community

Dr. Alshaar has participated in research efforts ranging from clinical trials, evaluating innovative oral surgery techniques, to data mining for a cancer therapy study, which led to publication. New to Ocala, he is enthusiastic about giving back to the Central Florida community.

Personal Interests

Dr. Alshaar enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and swimming.
