If you have had adverse reactions to medications in the past, please include this information in your medical history and also inform our staff and the doctors.  We first and foremost do not want to harm you by prescribing a medication you have not tolerated in the past.

Allergic reactions to Penicillin, for instance, are very common and may include rash, itching, hives, swelling, and in some severe responses, sudden breathing and heart rhythm disturbances. These are the symptoms of a true allergic reaction to a medication, and the next exposure could cause a much worse reaction.

Side effects to drugs are different, but equally as important. They may include nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea from pain medication or antibiotics, or even hallucinations with certain drugs. Whatever your adverse reaction to different drugs, please report them to us during your appointment time.
